REVERSIBLE CONTINUOUS OPERATION GRAIN DRYER (CHINA)

General Overview

This equipment is designed for continuous drying process of paddy rice, wheat, corn, soybeans and other grains. Compared to traditional dryers, this equipment allows saving up to 20-30% of energy due to the high-temperature drying technology used. Energy efficiency is quite high since the impact of hot air on the grain lasts only a few seconds and the contact time is very short. In addition, the dryer is equipped with an automatic hot air flow control system, which also increases the efficiency of the system as a whole.

Main Structure:

All-metal construction consisting of discretely arranged metal plates.

Includes sections: accumulation, preheating, actual heating, recovery, cooling, as well as discharge device with dosing, discharge auger, aspirator, burner, automatic temperature control system, electrical protection equipment.

Structurally provides the possibility of increasing or decreasing the number of thermal sections according to the required productivity and percentage of raw material moisture reduction.

Main Technical Characteristics:

  1. Wide range of raw material moisture reduction and applicability. The grain temperature in the drying process does not exceed 55°C. One-time reduction of raw material moisture up to 15% can be achieved.
  2. High-quality drying of high-moisture raw materials. Uniform moisture reduction is achieved through the use of multi-section drying technology including the following sequence of operations: Drying of raw material flows clockwise → recovery → Drying of raw material flows clockwise → recovery … → Cooling of raw material flows counterclockwise. Special air distribution system ensures uniform supply of hot air to grain layers. Each individual grain has equal opportunity to contact with hot air. Each heating section is followed by a recovery section that ensures equalization of temperature and moisture of the external and internal parts of the grain, which subsequently determines the quality of the output raw material.
  3. High drying efficiency. In the heating section, hot air moves in the same direction as the raw material. Hot air comes into contact with moist raw material having lower temperature. As a result, the main heat is spent on moisture evaporation and the exhaust gas is in a saturated state. Thus, high drying efficiency and lower consumption of intermediate gas per 1 ton of raw material compared to other dryer options are achieved.
  4. Intelligent control. This dryer model can be equipped with an intelligent programmable command device and online raw material moisture monitoring system to ensure complete control throughout the entire drying process (including air temperature, raw material moisture and temperature, raw material feed level, raw material discharge speed).

Working Principle

Closed-type dryer. The drying is based on using the correspondence of heated air temperature to its volume according to the type and quality of raw material to achieve maximum energy saving and high efficiency.

Wet raw material is fed into the accumulation section by means of a bucket elevator. After complete loading, the raw material for drying is automatically fed by the discharge device (while a signal from the level sensor is issued).

Simultaneously, hot air is forced by the aspirator for sufficient contact with the grain, and thus the main goal is achieved - reduction of raw material moisture. The SHNT model dryer has a continuous operation principle, wet raw material is also fed continuously from the feed hopper. Thus, full loading of the dryer is ensured. Moisture is removed from the dryer by means of a special discharge system. The raw material after drying and cooling processes is evenly discharged from the dryer by the discharge device for subsequent storage.
